This is my town. I live here.

According to the more current information available on the City's Website, the Colorado Commons construction has entered its last phase. The first residents are expected to move in by early February 2008.

Work on public improvements surrounding Colorado Commons -- sidewalks, landscaping, lighting, signage, etc. -- will begin the week of Dec. 3. Watch for traffic interuptions and possible street closures beginning that week on Primrose Avenue and both Lemon and Lime Avenues east of Myrtle Avenue.

What an albatross that is going to be. And we paid for it. Think about it condo and townhouse prices have taken the biggest hit in town and they are pricing these at premium prices.

To top if off the residents, tenants if most of it is rented out which usually is 30%+ in a development they can't be bound to the 1 car per unit CCR.

Regardless that means tons of cars are going to be parked in residential areas off primrose or in the various city lots making Old Town even more difficult to find parking in. Especially for our elder citizens and anyone with a disability hindering their mobility.

I can appreciate your concerns...but I have to say I've been nothing but excited about it. I think Old Town could use a bit more patrons for its businesses. Sometimes it looks a bit empty.

I also like the look of it. Much better than something like "The Stuart" that went in near the Sierra Madre station. That thing looks as if it will be an eyesore within a few years. It already looks a bit shoddy.
