OPEN THREAD: How should I spend my birthday?

Ok. I know it's tacky, but I'm announcing that yes, today is my birthday. Money is a bit tight, and I've decided to stay in Monrovia. What should I do? What would you do if you were going to stay in Monrovia and it was your birthday? Who can guess what I have planned? Hint: It costs less than $50.

I don't have any suggestions, or ideas of what you have planned (can't wait to hear!), but I do want to wish you a very happy birthday!!
I hope you enjoy whatever it is that you're doing!

Happy B'day. $50 is tight so my guess is if you are with a special someone its California Wine and Cheese for a flight and cheese plate? My favorite way to spend a friday night.

Today is my daughter's first birthday. We had cake.

A Friday night with $50 to spend for birthday festivities? Well, I'd do what we do every Friday, which si go to the street fair, get some yummy fresh produce, buy some empanadas and go home and enjoy it all with a glass of wine. For a birthday, I might stop at Scoops for a cone...

What did you do?

Alessandra,

I was a bit under the weather so I ended up getting an ice cream cone, a foot massage and then my boyfriend made me dinner! A pretty mellow day, but filled the bill!

Happy birthday!

Your mellow birthday celebration sounds wonderful. And I bet your home-cooked dinner was priceless!

Happy Birthday my friend. A foot massage from Pete sounds splendid, and I'm glad to know you were treated well on your day. I was going to guess you went to Mikomi for steak, but this sounds better!
