Myrtle Avenue by Night
I like this photo by Keith J. He got a glowy feeling on the abundant light globes. Personally I think they could have put about half as many on Myrtle and used the rest for some of the side streets, but I know that some people really appreciate the extra illumination.
I'd love to see a blur motion ghosting of a person crossing the street in this image.

Great photo! I agree that there is too much light, but I'll get used to it...

I think there are too many lights now it used to be beautiful to enter myrtle Ave from Huntington and see the dimly light street like something out of a old fashioned movie set

I thought it was just me who thought the new lights were too bright and distracting.

This weeks city manager's report indicates that they have removed several of the five-globe street lights and replaced them with single globes. Way to go! :)

Nice photo, you should consider exploring HDR and tonemapping to really bring out the richness of the scene.

Meandering,
Believe it or not, the photo is HDR. I went very easy on the tonemapping with this one with some photoshop adjustments so it's not readily apparent.
Thank you Amanda for posting the photo. It's fun to see them on here.

Keith...get the photomatix hdr and tonemapping, much more control than you can get with cs2's own basic programs.

Photomatix was used for creating and tonemapping the image. I'm not that impressed with CS2's HDR abilities either.
